CONSENSUS STATEMENT -
We feel that presentation is very important when a students hands in a paper; however, the age of the students should be considered when deciding expectations. Students should be graded on the readability of their writing if hand written. If the paper is typed, students should be graded on whether they used the correct format, font, size, etc.

Also, we all really like the rubrics and intend to use them when grading in our future classrooms. We feel that the 4-point rubric is best suitable for younger grades or assignment that do not carry a heavy weight. Also, some of us found the 6-point rubric to be too wordy but still very well-written. These rubrics are a great tool for educators and can make grading papers a whole less stressful. It also would be good for the students to get used to using the same rubric, so they know exactly what they are being graded on.
