\nWhat are the Qualities of a Good Teacher?- I would grade this piece a 5. There is a clear introduction and conclusion along with supporting ideas. The different sections flow from one to the other and the ideas appear to be organized.

\nA Good Teacher- I would also give this paper a 5. There is a clear introduction, but it only has two closing statement, not a conclusion. \nI completely agree with you on the scoring of all three pieces.

\nTo Be a Good Teacher-does deserve a 1, the paper does not flow smoothly, there is no transitions or paragraph format to help support the structure. Also, the author is a 9th grade student, I would expect more from a high school student. I think that should take that into consideration.

\nWhat are the Qualities of a Good Teacher?- I agree the paper flows with good transition and details fit in a logical order.

\nA Good Teacher-I really enjoyed reading this article. I would agree that it is a score of 5. It flows, is detail supported, and the introduction invites a reading in. As for the conclusion, you are correct on that as well, the author could have or should have closed with a little more.

All the students talks about are how cats and dogs want to be good. Although a topic is chosen, there is no central idea besides how they can be good. Also, the topic is way to broad to complete one simple paper on.

\nEarth- I would score this one a 3. Ideas are presented, but most do not go in much depth. There also does not seem to be one central idea. The student did, however, have multiple ideas.

I believe that Cat\/Dog was not focused at all on the idea. The author only discussed them being good which was consistantly repeated throughout the writing. A score of 1 would be appropriate.

\nAs for Earth, a score of 3 also what I would agree with. The author makes a clear attempt to support why Earth is important to him\/her. However, the idea and thoughts are broad and need to be more focused.

\nZeena would be a score of 5. The author focuses on one idea and maintains it throughout the writing. It is focused and has strong supporting details.
